You don’t have to be a wine connoisseur to join in the fun of bidding on the fantastic lots going on the block at the 2007 Wine Auction & Gala. This year’s phenomenal array of treasures includes to-die-for vacation packages, private dinner parties in exclusive venues, original art, jewelry, a guest role in an Arts Center of Coastal Carolina musical and, of course, lots of rare and unique wine. Among the prize excursions up for grabs are trips to California and Oregon wine country and the exclusive Roaring Fork Club in Basalt, Colorado, a weekend for four at the Auberge du Soleil-managed Inn at Palmetto Bluff with dinner, golf and spa treatments included. Wine aficionados will marvel at the collection of wines we've assembled for our live auction, including a selection of perfect wines rated 100 points, six bottles of First Growth Bordeaux, Wine Spectator's 50 Best Napa cabernets, three lots of 1982, 1990 and 2000 Bordeaux, vertical collections of Opus One, Pichon Lalande and Dominus and a three-liter bottle of 1995 Chateau Mouton Rothschild. We'll also be auctioning off dinner for eight with a celebrity guest, a private
party for 20 in the Walter Greer Gallery with entertainment and dinner catered by
The Westin, dinner with wine for 10 in South Carolina Yacht Club's elegant wine cellar
and a five-course chef’s dinner for 10 at Michael Anthony’s Cucina Italiana featuring French and Italian wines.
